Fitri Setyaningsih

Active not just in expanding the ideas and the works of the body, Fitri Setyaningsih also combines the body’s interaction with other sources of power including daily objects, sound/noises, conceptual art, and other eclectic realms (interdisciplinary). She was chosen as an influential artist icon by Tempo magazine (2011). Several of her dance works have been staged in Borobudur Writers and Culture Festival (2020, 2022), Indonesia Bertutur (2022), Indonesian Dance Festival (2021) and SipFest Musim Seni Salihara (2022). Her work is deeply linked to the presence of self, layered universes, and archeology. Fitri also initiated a cross-medium space called Tamu Semesta.
