Yuka Uchida

Born in Osaka in 1987, Yuka Uchida is a choreographer and dancer based in Osaka, Japan. She creates performance spaces where people can come together and intersect, focusing on spaces where everyone can feel comfortable and coexist. 

She explores what dance can be and what dancers can do in such spaces. Her major projects include Respect People (2020–), New Fieldwork (2023–), and Dance Dance Dance Islands (2024), with Mi-Mi-Bi, produced by NPO DANCE BOX. She was selected for Shifting Points in 2025, an international program organized by Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting, Kyoto Experiment, and the Japan Foundation.
