Team Chiipro

Team Chiipro is a performance duo made up of Nanako Matsumoto and Kengo Nishimoto. Their practice has been centered around the  theme of the body and gestures as critique. In recent years, they have been working on research-based dance projects, which interweave multiple contexts evoked by a particular dance step or gesture, when experienced by the performers and manifest through physical sensations and memories.

Recent works include Yokai Bodies Super Cup!!! (2026), Imperial Palace Running Man (2019,20), Kyoto Imaginary Waltz (2021), Menstruation Sumo Dance (2022), and nanako by nanako (2024).
