“Dance Dance Emoji” is a performance that is based on Tik Tok dance tutorials that use emojis to describe movement. At the same time, it reflects the use of social media in Philippine context. “Dance Dance Emoji” is a part of a larger project called “Tik Tok Ethnochoreology”; a research on dancing and social media which was started in 2021.
