Arsita Iswardhani

Arsita Iswardhani is an actor, performance-maker, dramaturg, and a collective member of Teater Garasi / Garasi Performance Institute, based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She explores methods of performance-making through various intercultural and interdisciplinary approaches, studying martial arts, Javanese dance, the Suzuki Method, and corporeal ethnography as a means of performance. Thematically, she currently focuses on precarity, invisible labor, and the production of excess and remains, as seen from her third-world location. She was a facilitator in the Asian Performing Arts Farm (APAF) Laboratory 2020 program. She was a co-dramaturg of UrFear: Transit Sri Lanka and Vietnam (2021), OpenLab Teater Garasi (2021-2022), and Invisible Dance (2022).
