Adrianus

Adrian is a Jakarta-based choreographer and dancer who draws upon Waacking and Voguing to develop his choreographic language within contemporary practice. Grounded in musicality, expression, and visual power, he creates works that bring the body into dialogue with personal narratives, vulnerability, humor, and queer experiences. 

His practice spans street dance, ballroom, battle culture, and the stage, focusing on how the body can tell stories, claim space, and establish an authentic presence. Rooted in community practice, Adrian is a member of Jakarta City Waackers and Ballroom Indonesia, and is currently initiating Dancinqueers. His artistic journey centers on queer arts and storytelling, evolving through works such as Un-break My Heart (2023), Be:ban (2025), Celebration of Authenticity (2026), and KALENG ROMBENG! (2026).
