Megatruh Banyu Mili

Megatruh Banyu Mili is a dancer and choreographer from Yogyakarta who has been active in performing arts since 2010 with Bengkel Mime Theater and Theater Garasi/Garasi Performance Institute. He graduated from SMKI Yogyakarta in 2016 and continued his arts education in the Dance Creation program at ISI Surakarta, graduating in 2020. Since 2018, Megatruh has focused on creating works that explore education issues in Indonesia, both formal and informal education within the environment and family. His works include Space of Silence (2018), Aku Siapa (2019), Nama Saya Budi (2020), Ini Budi (2020), Ini Bapak Budi (2021). His latest work, Budi Bermain Boal, created in 2022 was performed in the Helatari 2023 program by Komunitas Salihara, Jakarta. In Lawatari: Yogyakarta with the IDF, Megatruh continues his exploration of this work. In 2021, together with Banyu Mili Art Performance, Megatruh created Ruang Menari: Virtual Festival of Movement and Dance as a platform for presenting dance films by young choreographers.
