Like a surprise or a dream, this choreography springs out unprecedentedly between the rhythms of Hip-Hop, Butoh, and Contemporary dance. Created in 2020 in France, this 30-minute performance is designed to be performed in situ –recreated in each location by involving more local performances and showcasing their skills, within both hip-hop or contemporary movement vocabularies. This unique, strong, and poetic movement vocabulary is the main spirit of the choreographer’s hip-hop background, tempered by contemporary and traditional dances of Thailand and Laos where the choreographer comes from. This work has been transmitted in Paris and performed in various public spaces, currently in the process of being transmitted to Asia until now. This work demands dancers to adapt to their environment, interact with the audience, and create new dimensions in various living spaces.
