SUMMARY:La XXX Punk II: Betel Nut Green
DESCRIPTION:La XXX Punk is a series through which Fangas Nayaw searches for how Indigenous dance can be in the future. It will be different\, and must be different\, because we are fed up with how popular imagination of Indigenous dance is limited to certain selected highlights and images. \nEvery part of the La XXX Punk series starts with a manifesto. Betel Nut Green is the second part of the series. \nThe vivid underneath is quietly disappearing. \nThe land is hill green\, tree green. \nGreen like the park. Green screen green. \nMANIFESTO \n\nNon-nature is part of life.\nClimax is illusionary.\nTradition is individual.\nEffortlessness is misleading.\nBound flow movement releases the body.\nThe aging body holds experience.\nHomogeneity is a myth.\nCulture lies every day.\nDisappearing happens quietly.\nGlitch is a gift.\n\nCredits:Choreographer : Fangas NayawScenographer : Liao Yin-Chiao Performers : Naceku\, maya’ a taboeh hayawan \nMusic : Yude LinCostume Designer : Yulin FannDramaturg : Betty Yi-Chun ChenKey Visual Designer : Hsiao Yang-HsiKey Visual Photographer : Etang Chen \nProducer : River LinProduction Manager : Ann WuProduction : Fist & Cake Production \nSupporters : The National Culture and Arts Foundation’s Performing Arts Abroad ProgramDevelopment : The National Culture and Arts Foundation’s Performing Arts Abroad program\, 2025 Lyon Dance Biennale\, RawGround 25/26\, Dance Forum Taipei \nPesan tiketFangas NayawBorn in Taitung\, Taiwan. SUMMARY:Punk! Indigenous Futurism With/out Ancestors
DESCRIPTION:This workshop touches on  the Indigenous Peoples’ Basic Punk Law II with Fangas Nayaw. Central to the work of Amis choreographer Fangas Nayaw is the dilemma of how to adjust to the reality of contemporary social life\, and in the face of globalization\, while preserving tradition.  \nEqually at home in theatre and innovative platforms such as virtual reality\, Nayaw’s museum-based participatory projects engage audiences in intimate discussions of Indigenous issues while introducing Amis songs and modes of socialising. In this participatory experience\, Fangas invites you to experiment with fictional Indigenous laws. A playful punk experience based on an ethos of shared responsibility\, trust\, and attention. \nVenue: Ruang Latihan Tari Kontemporer\, Taman Ismail Marzuki \nPesan tiketFangas NayawBorn in Taitung\, Taiwan. Fangas is an artist\, director\, choreographer\, and performer. His versatile practices probe into the dynamics of audience participation and the possibilities of new technology in the performing arts\, while constantly reflecting on his indigenous identity and cultural tradition as Amis.
